My day in the Postal Office

My experience in the Postal Office with the kids was amazing! It was really nice for me because what I taught them is also important for me to know.

The first thing was to teach them to check the envelops already sent by the children of the last class. They had to figure out if that letter had all the necessary elements to be considered as a correspondence, I mean, if it had the addresses correctly, the names of the recipients etc. They all were very excited doing that.

After that, we gave them a poster of famous basketball players, actresses and singers as Hannah Montana so they felt very inspired for writing a letter to their friends saying why it its important to consume calcium everyday. Then, they proceeded to write the directions behind the envelop which is the most difficult part. Many of them were really fast but some others didn't have enough time to finish it and felt sad. Anyway they enjoyed sending it through the blue box of the Postal Office.

During the process of writing the letter they asked me how to spell many words! it was crazy. The good part is that I knew all the words! otherwise I would feel ashamed if I'd have to say "I don't know", because they're kids and they expect that we know everything.

For me it was the best job! Probably I'll have to try with another one the next time, but the Postal Office was very cute for me.
